1. Franklin and Marshall College

Tuition Fees: $65,652

Franklin & Marshall College is a liberal arts undergraduate college that bills itself as one of the oldest colleges in the United States. Franklin College was founded in 1787 with a financial donation from Benjamin Franklin. In 1853, it merged with Marshall College to form the organization it is today.

The college is quite small, with a student body of only 2,400 students, but it offers 60 areas of study.

2. Columbia University

Tuition Fees: $65,524

Columbia University is the oldest college in America, since it was founded in 1754, and one of the most expensive. As one of the nine original colonial colleges in the United States, it has a long history and offers courses and majors in many different fields of study, from ancient studies to anthropology to English, economics, business, and more.

Keep in mind that Columbia University’s acceptance rate is quite low at about 5.5%. You have to be pretty competitive to get in. If you are accepted, hopefully, you can get financial aid opportunities, including an annual grant of more than $66,000 for international students.

3. Reed College

Tuition Fees: $64,450

Reed College is a Portland or liberal arts college founded in 1908 (which surprisingly makes it one of the newer colleges on this list). Reed has about 40 arts bachelor’s degree programs and has a student population of 1,400. They promise small classes and a low teacher-student ratio.

4. Vassar College

Tuition Fees: $63,840

Vassar is an independent liberal arts college in New York City, founded in 1861. It started as a women’s college but opened its doors to men in 1969.

Vassar College is a relatively small school with only 2,500 students in 51 different majors.

5. Tufts University

Tuition Fees: $63,804

Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts is one of the best art schools in America. Even with the higher price of the sticker, this could be a good choice if you have financial needs, as lumps can pay off for your entire studies if you prove good grades.
